Mysore is one of the most important art centres of India. Mysore is also the place where many talented artists are born and brought to light. Sri Sridhar Jain is one such example. Though he belongs to a community, which is famous for its business preferences, Sridhar Jain’s first love was always dance. Learning Bharatanatya was really a Herculian task but Sridhar’s strong determination made him resign his job. He joined fine arts college of Mysore, secured first class in Diploma in Dance and successfully graduated in Vidwat Exam conducted by Govt.of Karnataka under the able guidance of famous Guru Smt. Sheela Sridhar of Kalakhetra style. Sridhar has travelled all over india giving successful performances. Sridhar has performed excellently in the film "Apthamithra".

He founded the famous dance school ‘Sri Nimishamba School of Dance’ in 1996. At present it is widely spread in 5 branches, training more than 300 aspirants of Bharatanatya. As a feather to his cap he has built ‘Sri Nimishamba Nadalaya Mantapa’, a beautiful traditional auditorium in his ‘Ranga Mane’, to promote dance and music. Many foriegners visit here to experience the divine Indian Classical dance in its aesthetic form. Sridhar jain excels in Choreography and his dance dramas have won high appreciation from dance lovers. Dances of India is yet another unique and popular show choreographed by Sridhar Jain. It includes Bhangra, Garba, Dandiya, Karnataka Folk, Mohini Attam, contemprory dance and Vande Maataram at the end.
