Sridhar Jain is an accomplished artist specializing in traditional dance form Mysore. Though he belongs to a community, which is famous for its business preferences, Sridhar Jain’s first love was always dance and though born as a son of a rich and generous Late K. Misrilal Jain and Smt. Rathidevi . He had to face hardships in life at an early age. He had to start working at an age of 10 along with his studies to support his family.
Inspite of all the difficulties, learning Bharatanatya was really a Herculian task but Sridhar’s strong determination made him resign his job. He joined fine arts college of Mysore, secured first class in Diploma in Dance and successfully graduated in Vidwat Exam conducted by Govt. of Karnataka under the able guidance of famous Guru Smt. Sheela Sridhar of Kalakhetra style.
He founded the famous dance school ‘Sri Nimishamba School of Dance’ in 1996. At present it is widely spread in 5 branches, training more than 300 aspirants of Bharatanatya. As a feather to his cap he has built ‘Sri Nimishamba Nadalaya Mantapa’, a beautiful traditional auditorium in his ‘Ranga Mane’, to promote danceand music. Many foriegners visit here to experience the divine Indian Classical dance in its aesthetic form .
In 2013 Dasara, Sridhar Jain and his team gave the marvellous performance on the prestigious Mysore Palace stage. He gave a dance drama with 80 dancers. This year's vibrant Yuva Dasara was inagurated by Sridhar Jain.
